Check point 1 – The Network Properties

1. Click on the Windows Start button, select and click on Settings then select and click on Control Panel

2. Select and double click on Network Connections

3. Select and right-click on the Network Connection icon

4. Select and click on Properties at the bottom of the list

5. The following window appears, select Internet Protocol then click on the Properties button

6. In the resulting window, check that both options are selected as indicated on the following screenshot:

  • Obtain an IP address automatically
  • Obtain DNS server address automatically

7. Click on the Advanced... button

8. Check the IP Settings, the DNS, and the WINS tabs, and ensure they match the following screenshots

9. Click the OK button

10. Select the Alternate Configuration tab and make sure that Automatic private IP address is selected

Make the changes effective by closing all the windows with the OK buttons
and the Close button for the last window (shown on step 5).
Do not use the top right hand corner crosses to close the windows.

11. Right click again on the Wireless Network Connection icon and select Repair.

Check point 2 – Internet Explorer Configuration

1. Launch Internet Explorer

2. Click on the Tools menu, select and click on Internet Options...

3. Click on the Connections tab. Ensure that Never dial a connection is selected if there are any Dial-up or Virtual Private Network settings defined

4. Click on the LAN Settings... button. Uncheck any of the check boxes of this window

5. Close those windows by clicking on OK in any window where something has been modified.

6. In Internet Explorer’s address bar, type in 10.0.0.1 then Enter.

7. You should obtain the Voilà® Welcome page.
